I got out my watercolors for the first time in like a year and I had a lot of fun with these guys! Seeing as how I’m getting ready to teach a digital class, I hope to make more of these guys as a way to relax and keep my traditional chops.
My scanner ate some of Perry’s beautiful gradients. :C
I know. I’m way behind the trend as usual. This has been sitting on my hard drive literally since Wreck-It-Ralph came out (in November last year) and I just never finished it until now. :U I LIKE MILKSHAKES.
P.S. GET IT, DIMALTINO? I’M CLEVER. I don’t like maraschino cherries so we can pretend it’s a REAL cherry on my belt.
Pocket Sushi will be ONE years old this Friday! In honor of this occasion, there’s a month-long deal at the Pocket-Sushi.com store. Enter 1STBIRTHDAY (one word) at checkout and receive 20% off your purchase!
I am also planning a contest as well. More details on that hopefully later this week, so stay tuned!
GO BUY THIS STUFF >O
I bought a little spam musubi keychain last Xmas and it’s still going strong on my keychains. So cute and squishy!
The Little Pixel Portrait commissions I opened for recently are now only $3! Forever!
Despite my amazing internet buddies trying to plug this and my own endeavors to get the word out there, I’ve only had one order for Pixel Portraits, so they’ve had their price reduced to $3. Good news for buyers!
Hey all! I’m now opening up commission slots for Little Pixel Portraits! I will open up 8 slots at a time, plus a waiting list of the same length. See samples of my work at the link and on my personal tumblr.
CHEAP at $5/ea! Mostly I’m doing them for some extra pocket money until I start my real job(s), but they’re also fun and a little challenging!
Reblogging for reach! Humanoid characters only, I’m afraid. But if you’re one of my Super Best Internet Friends we’ll talk privately about whatever awesome pixels you want me to slap around.
More low-poly cuteness. This is based on the Milk Carton in Katamari Forever. One thing I’m having trouble with is getting those little triangle sidepanels inset without causing a bunch of awful geometry. :/ I just want the top vertex inset.
ANOTHER PROTIP: Let’s say you want a single face to share a texture on both sides. Switch your render engine to “Blender Game” and go to the Materials tab for your object. Under “Game Settings” uncheck “Backface Culling” - probably shortened to “Backfac,” lol. MAGIC. Now you can switch back to Blender Render.
